Job Description

Position Summary
Maintains the electrical requirements of the Project.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
  • Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment including but not limited to transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV cameras, lane control signals, electronic message signs, lighting, PLC, VFD etc.
  • Knowledgeable about NEC codes and requirements.
  • Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose faults across electrical assets and systems and implements cost-effective repairs to NEC standards.
  • Maintains quality workmanship and collaborates with other trades, teams, and inspectors.
  • Basic maintenance and repair of structures.
  • Available for emergency response rotations as needed (overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of electrical assets and systems in complex industrial environments.
  • Ability to practice safe work methods and recognize hazards to avoid loss, injury or accident.
  • Wears PPE appropriate to the job.
  • Cooperates and communicates with co-workers and supervisor; performs basic math and can read/interpret instructions, safety rules, manuals, and electrical schematics.
Education And Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Licensed Electrical Journeyman in the project county/state or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire (Required)
  • Two years experience at journeyman level in an industrial/commercial environment (Preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (Required)
Work Conditions
Physical Demands
  • Stand, sit, walk; use hands; reach; climb; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk and hear.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds; use manual and powered tools; vision requirements as described.
  • Work from heights in bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms; work in tight spaces; work in heat and cold.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat/cold; possible wet/humid conditions, fume or airborne particles; occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals; noise level is moderate to high.
