Basic Job Functions:

Skyline Steel LLC is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Welder. The role of a Welder serves a vital role within the facility’s production team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Oxy/fuel torch cutting
  • Arc welding
  • Fitting
  • Warehouse forklift operation
  • Overhead crane operation
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Welder will be an integral member of the Nucor Skyline team who brings a strong and consistent work ethic, demonstrates the attention to detail needed to ensure that the material is going out with the quality that the customers expect from Nucor, and exhibits good communication skills that will enable them to coordinate with other departments. A successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a group, and be willing and able to work off shifts (2nd or 3rd), not to exclude weekends and holidays as operating conditions require. To ensure the success of the Nucor Skyline team, safety must be at the forefront of each duty that is performed by each teammate. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
