Job Description
Main Purpose
We are seeking a 4th Shift Yard Spotter to work at our East Chicago IN location. Position working Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday 6:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Key job responsibilities
- Move/Spot trailers into the appropriate dock areas
- Provide general cleaning maintenance for trucks, trailers and dock area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of DOT
- Processing experience/background (mechanical)
- General understanding of all safety rules to ensure compliance with company policy and OSHA.
- Must obtain a physician certification to wear a respirator.
- Hazmat preferred
- One (1) year experience driving a truck preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply common operational documents.
- Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for
- Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
