All staff begin their career at Paragon in a paid 2-week hands-on live classroom style training program taught by BCaBA/BCBA Licensed Behavior Analysts. Paragon currently employs over 35 full-time Salaried Behavior Specialists in Northern Virginia, and we are growing.

Paragon Autism Services DID NOT layoff or REDUCE staff hours during COVID-19. ALL employees have consistent schedules (scheduled to see clients Monday - Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.) Sessions at Paragon are never scheduled on weekends! Paragon Autism Services has been providing direct 1:1 ABA therapy to individuals in their homes between the ages of 2 and 20 with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays and Intellectual Disabilities since opening our doors in 2013. ABA therapy is all we do, and we earned our reputation in the community throughout Northern Virginia for doing it right!

This opportunity is ideal for someone already working in the field of ABA and looking for a full-time year-round SALARY position with guaranteed hours. At Paragon, we invest in every team member and all new staff start their career with us in a paid 2-week classroom style training program to expand on their current ABA knowledge prior to working with our clients. Our training classes are held in Fredericksburg during the day, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Our clinical team includes of 9 BCBA’s, and 8 BCaBA’s. Our staff has the unique opportunity to grow and learn in a true team environment. Each team is led by a Director (BCBA) who oversees a Clinical Supervisor (BCBA or BCaBA), up to 6 Behavior Specialists and a Student Analyst. Each team has up to 24 clients and each Behavior Specialist works exclusively with 2-4 clients. Our full-time leadership team works closely with clients and staff to promote growth and development. Our treatment is individualized for each client as well as data and research driven. Our approach to our team is uniquely different – ALL staff have the option to be salaried employees with consistent schedules and receive ongoing training in a collaborative supportive teaching environment.

We service Fredericksburg and surrounding counties from our two offices located in the City of Fredericksburg and Stafford County, and our third office in Woodbridge serves Prince William County.

What do our Behavior Specialist do? Behavior Specialists at Paragon are responsible for direct 1:1 service with the client. Duties include:

• Implement individualized behavior plan and programming designed by Clinical Supervisor
• Utilize ABA principles to include discrete trial learning, incidental learning, shaping, chaining, differential reinforcement etc. under the direction of Clinical Supervisor
• Provide social skills training, and generalization of skills into home, school and community settings
• Track progress and behaviors using specified data collection methods during every session

Minimum Qualifications for Behavior Specialist:

• BACHELOR’s degree OR RBT is preferred.
• Strong writing skills.
• Training and experience in ABA strategies and experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders preferred.
• Prior employment experience working with children with identified disabilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Must pass all background investigations which include State and FBI criminal backgrounds checks and CPS check
