NW Employment solutions is partnered with a Portland based restoration company that is actively hiring individuals who are seeking long term opportunities.
**Must have minimum 1 year abatement tech work experience**
Pay:$20-$28/hr DOE
Shift: Mon-Fri 730am-430pm
Job Duties:
- Assemble scaffolding and seals off the work area, using plastic sheeting and duct tape
- Position mobile decontamination unit or portable showers at the entrance of work area
- Positions portable air evacuation and filtration system inside the work area
- Cut/scrape asbestos, mold, or paint from surfaces, using knife and scraper
- Assist in demolition and deconstruction activities of buildings
- Shovels asbestos, mold or paint into plastic disposal bags and seals bags, using duct tape
- Clean work area of loose asbestos, mold, or paint, using a vacuum, broom, and dustpan
- Place asbestos, mold or paint in disposal bags and seals bags, using duct tape, loads bags into a truck
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of abatement experience
- Demolition experience
- Comfortable working in environments containing asbestos and biohazards
- Can lift 50lbs, reach, walk, and stand for long periods
- Knowledge of variety of power tools/hand tools
