Position Highlights
The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Academic Program Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the activities and functions within year 1, 2, and 3 of the curriculum, the recruitment and on-boarding of the CVM faculty, and the administrative support required to maintain optimal operation of the college.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to increase transparency and ensure projects remain on target. Develop policies and procedures to provide guidance to faculty, staff, and students. Troubleshoots issues, identifies areas for process improvement, and confers with faculty and staff to exemplify a solutions-oriented approach to all issues. Conducts research on various aspects of domestic and international veterinary medical education programs.
  • Oversees the budgetary process and performs all purchasing requests as received. Assist with the management of inventory systems and supplies such as coveralls, course supplies, and exam materials provided to students, including the return process.
  • Assist with the onboarding process through the development of materials, scheduling, and communication with various key contacts.
  • Responds to concerns from faculty, staff, students, and clinical affiliates.
  • Participate in preparing periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status, and other special reports as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with business practices, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, proficiently multi-task, skillfully manage projects of varying size and complexity, and utilize strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Promotes cooperative working environment among staff members; understands the value of teamwork; shows enthusiasm and willingness to perform as necessary to help function as a unit; and maintains positive, cooperative relationships with other employees.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience required.
