The Account Manager - Retention is responsible for maintaining the relationship with our existing small business clients. The Account Manager is a part of the Small Business Operations Team.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Resolve billing, claims, and customer service issues in a timely basis.
  • Increase the revenue opportunities within assigned book of business by adding and cross selling ancillary products: Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Travel/Accident policies.
  • Shop for Groups at time of renewal to review optional plans and benefits.
  • Retain Groups on eHealth’s book of business; Meet customer retention goals.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in customer service
  • Licensed Life/Health Agent
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to diffuse upset customers
  • Ability to communicate to peers and management clearly and in a timely manner
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to support the team and customer
  • Strong and engaging personality that customers will appreciate and respond to
  • Exemplary high standards of honesty, integrity and endeavor
  • Outstanding organization and time management skills
  • Ability to make deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Possesses a high sense of urgency and a high level of enthusiasm
  • Ability to multi task and re-prioritize tasks
  • Excellent team work
  • Excellent attendance and reliability
  • Proven sales ability enabling retention
