The Account Manager - Retention is responsible for maintaining the relationship with our existing small business clients. The Account Manager is a part of the Small Business Operations Team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop client relationships.
- Resolve billing, claims, and customer service issues in a timely basis.
- Increase the revenue opportunities within assigned book of business by adding and cross selling ancillary products: Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Travel/Accident policies.
- Shop for Groups at time of renewal to review optional plans and benefits.
- Retain Groups on eHealth’s book of business; Meet customer retention goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in customer service
- Licensed Life/Health Agent
- Previous experience in the insurance industry
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to diffuse upset customers
- Ability to communicate to peers and management clearly and in a timely manner
- Willingness to go the extra mile to support the team and customer
- Strong and engaging personality that customers will appreciate and respond to
- Exemplary high standards of honesty, integrity and endeavor
- Outstanding organization and time management skills
- Ability to make deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Possesses a high sense of urgency and a high level of enthusiasm
- Ability to multi task and re-prioritize tasks
- Excellent team work
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Proven sales ability enabling retention
