Job Summary: The accountant will work closely with the Controller and other accounting and operations personnel to handle day-to-day business transactions. The position is primarily responsible for providing a variety of general ledger accounting tasks, financial analysis, and financial reporting within the organization. Additional job responsibilities are as follows:
- Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial transactions.
- Analyzing and verifying the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Performing sales and use tax reporting and filing.
- Assisting with annual financial statement audit.
- Recommending and implementing actions to improve processes.
- Assisting in developing, analyzing, and executing budgets.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with accounting experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communications (oral and written) skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently, time management, attendance, and confidentiality are essential functions of this job.
Preferences: - Sales and use tax experience preferred but not required.
