This position is being recruited through the Papa Murphys International subsidiary of MTY Food Group, a publicly traded company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (MTY). MTYs family of 80+ restaurant brands include mainstays such as Cold Stone Creamery, Famous Daves, and Papa Murphys. This role will report to the Director of Accounting for the U.S. brands.

The U.S. accounting team has over 30 employees who work in offices situated across the U.S., primarily in Scottsdale, AZ and Vancouver, WA. MTY is known for its entrepreneurial spirit which was built on the principles of excellence, dedication, and innovation.

Position Overview: In this engaging leadership role, the Senior Financial Analyst champions MTYs

Responsibilities:

• Month end transactional journal entry preparation
• Monthly reconciliation and analysis of various balance sheet transactional sections
• Support monthly & quarterly control requirements related to financial reporting
• Help develop, improve, support, and identify automation opportunities for accounting processes and workflows
• Assist in other projects as assigned

What you bring to the table:

?Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports

?Advanced Excel skills, including Power Pivot, Power Query, Data Modeling

?High attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

?Customer service orientated

?Prior experience with Great Plains is preferred

?Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL is an asset

?Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform is an asset, specifically: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI

?Prior experience in ERP/software transformation projects is an asset

Foundations of your career:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
• 5+ years accounting or auditing experience preferred
• CPA designation is an asset
