We are seeking a Accounting Clerk: to cover a range of clerical and support responsibilities within the finance and billing teams. Duties include, but are not limited to file maintenance, preparation of mailings, vendor file creation and maintenance reviewing and processing reimbursement vouchers and all other administrative duties as requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES::
  • Vendor set up in accounting system
  • Responsible for all PO inquiries for program staff.
  • Monthly phone bill allocations to programs/projects.
  • Preparation of mailings, copying and hand deliver the checks.
  • Assist in check processing.
  • Assist in preparation of invoicing.
  • Liaison between Accounting and other departments.
  • Maintain office supply stock for Accounting and Budgets & Planning departments.
  • Provide administrative support to accounting staff as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting, equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Two years of accounting experience in a not-for-profit environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
  • Reliable transportation and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance, along with a clean DMV record, is required and the ability to travel to multiple locations.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, systems, and platforms, with a deep understanding of Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn and use required mobile devices and business-related applications.
  • Outstanding communication skills and high degree of emotional intelligence, cultural humility, with a proven track record to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts.
