ACCOUNTING CONTROLLER

OSCO Industries, Inc. is a gray-iron casting foundry with three plant locations in Portsmouth, New Boston, and Jackson, Ohio. POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Perform the month-end close process including the preparation and analysis of financial statements
• Ensure the establishment and maintenance of proper accounting policies, procedures, and financial systems
• Maintain the general ledger, create, and process journal entries
• Provide reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts in a timely manner
• Provide ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested
• Provide supervision and support in the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes
• Assist in the administration of various employee benefit plans
• Assist in the maintenance of fixed asset records
• Assist and coordinate activities with external CPA firms, lending institutions, and other entities
• Prepare governmental reports as needed
• Document work instructions
• Assist in maintaining bulk and product inventories
• Protect organization s value by keeping information confidential
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (minimum)
• CPA (preferred)
• Minimum of 4 - 10 years previous work experience in industry accounting and / or public accounting
• Working knowledge of accounting and GAAP
• Working knowledge of computer financial accounting systems and Microsoft Excel required
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• A positive attitude
• Self-directed, self-disciplined, and highly organized
• Must be able to pass any required drug test and new hire physical examination

JOB TYPE:

PAY:

• $60,000 - $90,000 per year
