◆Position Title
Accounting Manager

◆Job Description
Responsible for managing the Accounting Department and all accounting
functions. This includes financial statement preparation, budgets, cash transactions,
accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, tax and
account analysis. Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts
performance evaluations. Coordinates training programs for new staff and
identifies training needs for current staff. Reports to the President. Exempt
position.

Major Responsibilities:
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (monthly and year-end) adhering to strict deadlines, according to accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze the annual budget and monthly estimations. This includes preparing and reviewing cost per item analysis, marginal profit analysis and inventory analysis.
- Participates in all Company financial audits. This includes annual audited financial statements; federal and state tax audits, and any other requested audit. The Accounting Manager is responsible for answering questions and obtaining information for the auditors.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts and provides other analysis as required.
- Reviews accounts payable for timely and accurate payments.
- Reviews accounts receivable for proper collection and posting of payments.
- Maintains Fixed Asset/Construction in Process accounts.
- Maintains Prepaid Expense accounts.
- Prepares reports for monthly Management meetings.
- Oversees preparation of purchase orders by Accounting Department members. This requires reviewing purchase order requests for proper approval and where necessary if the purchase order is within budget.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with company accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

◆Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting. MBA Preferred.
- Minimum of five years as Accounting Manager in manufacturing environment. Minimum of five years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate with upper management, co-workers, customers and vendors.
- Advanced ability to use accounting software. Able to use Excel software with advanced functions. Ability to use Word software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 per year
