Accounts Payable/Receivables Clerk

About This Position
Performs clerical work in support of the organization's accounts payable and accounts receivables functions.Responsibilities
- Compiles amounts owed by the company to vendors or other individuals, or owed to the company by customers or clients, and inputs figures to the accounting system.
- Receives and distributes invoices, verifying accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Reconciles amounts received or owed by comparing invoices to POs or other records.
- Enters invoice amounts into the accounting system and processes invoices or payments.
- Responds to inquiries from customers or clients and researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies.
- Works high volume customer collection calls and/or correspondence to collect overdue customer balances.
- Processes credit cards through online secure software and post to customer accounts.
- Provides customer service regarding collection issues, recommend account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
- Resolves customer invoice collection and dispute issues. Requires partnering with Sales and other parties to resolve all customer invoice issues, including FIF, and bring to closure.
- Monitors customer past due amounts. Contacts customers, as necessary, to work out payment arrangements or advises if orders have to be held.
- Performs other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting Department.
Required Skills
- Strong computer skills: Great Plains experience preferred
- Strong customer service and extremely detail oriented
Experience
24 2 Years (Minimum)- Minimum of 2 years in A/R, A/P and collections preferred
Education
Bachelor Degree RequiredCollege degree required in Finance or Accounting preferred
