Accounts Payable Specialist Job at The Intersect Group
Currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a local government/public sector here in sunny, southern California.
This position will be an indefinite temp role and will be onsite, full time.
Responsibilities:
- Support Accounts Payable and Purchasing functions by entering vouchers, 3-way matching payments to invoices, inventory receipt processing, general ledger account coding, entering of invoice information
- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling.
- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed.
- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing.
- Respond and research inquiries from internal and external calls.
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department.
- Help with internal and external audits as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
