Job summary
The primary role of the Analyst / Sr. Analyst is to support Lendlease's acquisitions efforts across the West Coast. Analyst will also support active development projects in San Francisco and Southern California. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial, and collaborative team that sits within a global and established firm. The role is located at Lendlease’s downtown Los Angeles office with partial hybrid opportunity.
Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.
  • Participate in weekly Pursuit Meetings
  • Assist with market research efforts and liaise with the brokerage community
  • Create and update complex financial models in Excel to be used for underwriting, investment analysis, and scenario analysis
  • Underwrite potential acquisitions, including ground-up, redevelopment, and core opportunities, with a focus on the San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Seattle markets
  • Assist in the review of due diligence material
  • Gather and summarize market comps, zoning information, market/submarket research, and demographic data for new projects
  • Assist with project management tasks, including maintaining meeting minutes and monitoring completion of action items
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Legal, Marketing, Construction, and Development Operations. Participate and collaborate in cross-function meetings regarding entitlements, design, insurance, asset management, etc.
  • Support preparation of investment papers for Investment Committee and investors
General Background and Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Real Estate
  • 1-3 years in a real estate-related role
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong financial modelling skills. Ideal candidate has experience with construction financing, waterfall structures, and calculating internal rate of return
  • Comfort with Argus a plus but not required
  • General understanding of real estate market assumptions
  • Excellent quantitative, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and independently meeting deadlines
  • Candidate should be detail and solutions-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
Base Salary Range: $90,000 - 114,000
The above salary range represents Lendlease’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards Lendlease provides to employees.
