Utah Valley University is currently seeking an Admin Support I in Student Health Services! Performs clerical and secretarial duties including answering multi-line telephones, routing messages, filing, record keeping, and preparation of letters and memos. Informs students, faculty, and public of departmental and university services available. Handles incoming calls and walk-in traffic and assists individuals and/or groups with inquiries and requests for assistance. Collects and counts money daily according to opening and closing procedures. Sorts and distributes mail to various areas in Student Health Services. Operates front computer scheduling programs and other basic office software.


Summary of Responsibilities

30%

Performs clerical and secretarial duties, including answering multi-line telephones, routing messages, filing, record keeping, and preparation of letters and memos.


25%

Informs students, faculty and public of departmental and university services available. Handles incoming calls and walk-in traffic, and assists individuals and/or groups with inquiries and requests for assistance.


10%

Collects and counts money daily according to opening and closing procedures.


10%

Sorts and distributes mail to various areas in Student Health Services.


25%

Operates front computer scheduling programs and other basic office software.


Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree; OR any combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totally two years.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of computer software and software applications
  • Skills in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform a variety of secretarial duties with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to follow written and oral procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to meet and work professionally with the public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to assist in department financial transactions.
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA regulations and office privacy standards.
