In this job, you’ll be a summer logistics manager, where you will be in charge of managing our inventory and physical deliverables to each camp location. The role primarily consists of keeping track of inventory that is being moved across each program site and driving to our three locations in Newton, Acton, and Livingston to deliver inventory from one central location to each camp location on time.

Job Description

• Part time, Flexible Hours (5-10 hrs/week)
• Pay is $20 per hour
• Mileage reimbursed at the federal rate of $0.59/mile (rate as of March 2022)
• Position is for mid June - late August, 2023
• Camp locations are Lexington, Newton, and Acton, MA
• Must have a car & valid driver’s license
• Must have your own laptop

Responsibilities will include:

• Tracking all of Lumos’ physical inventory at main location in Newton. (T shirts, water bottles, session supplies like games, name tags, pens, paper, cameras, SD cards, tripods) on a spreadsheet
• Splitting the inventory based on each sites’ student count
• Distributing the inventory by driving to directors’ homes and dropping them off 1-2 days in advance to the session’s start date
• Online ordering of some camp merchandise
• Communicating with program directors to receive information on student quantity, and student t-shirt sizes, prior to ordering
• Other tasks that require driving (picking up keys from the renters, etc)

Job Requirements

• You do need a car and valid driver’s license
• You must be familiar with using spreadsheets (nothing complicated, but basic knowledge)
• You do not need prior experience to work at Lumos, although there will be a few training sessions to prep you on getting to know the insides of Lumos, including how our inventory was run in the past, general summer logistics, and more.
• We are looking for individuals who are currently in or out of school who reside around Newton or Lexington, MA with a flexible schedule throughout the summer.
