Responsible for all Tutored Students

  • Responsible for the daily monitoring of attendance and progress of students
  • Assist in initial interviews and testing of new students
  • Assist in the matching and scheduling of students with tutors
  • Assist Curriculum Manager with Competency Plans
  • Assist Curriculum Manager in providing appropriate curriculum
  • Identify and track students eligible for citizenship class and coordinate with Social Services
  • Responsible for the weekly communication to students “Weekly”

Responsible for all Tutors

  • Assist with the matching and scheduling of the students with tutors
  • Provide on-going supervision to tutors and students in collaboration with tutoring program team
  • Provide on-going curriculum adjustments in collaboration with Curriculum Manager
  • Provide additional supplemental materials and resources in collaboration with Curriculum Manager
  • Coordinate Student/Tutor Hospitality, i.e., Holiday Teas, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.
  • Assist with the Summer Program, Tutor Training and Tutor Professional Days
  • Assist with student workshops, life skills and tutoring

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain student and tutor databases
  • Maintain/distribute daily Tutor/Student Schedule
  • Maintain and analyze statistics
  • Assist in curriculum/textbook revisions in collaboration with Curriculum Manager
  • Assist with all communications to tutored students, staff and tutors

Staff Responsibilities

  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
  • Work in a collaborative style
  • Assist the President in any additional work as requested
  • Provide weekly report to the President, Director of Operations, and Curriculum Manager

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday; 9 am – 5 pm; 40 Hours

Job Requirements

  • College Degree in Human Services, Education or related field
  • Computer Literate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work with a diverse population
  • The ability to multitask and be flexible
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required
