Wage band range $19.00 to $30.00/hour

Starting salary is typically between $24 to $26/hour; however, it is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Position is eligible for bilingual pay incentive.

Casa Pacifica offers teen and family services designed to treat victims of abuse and neglect, substance abuse, homelessness, and other behavioral and mental health issues. Our Camarillo, Santa Barbara, and Santa Maria offices work with more than 2,100 of the most vulnerable children aged 9-17 and their families annually.

We meet youth and families at the most challenging times of their lives and help them overcome some of lifes most difficult circumstances abuse and neglect, complex emotional and behavioral issues, and family crisis. Our primary service area includes: San Diego, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Kern County (Bakersfield), San Luis Obispo County (SLO), Ventura County, Santa Barbara County and the Southern California/Central Coast region.

We have an exciting opportunity to work under the direction of our Chief Development Officer (CDO) supporting the needs of the teams administrative, data base entry, clerical, and project support. This role requires evening/weekend meetings and events and working nights and weekends in preparation for Casa Pacificas fundraising events is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track CDO commitments, goals, projects, tasks and deadlines
  • Maintains the CDO calendar, ensure her time is allocated to the highest priorities
  • Attend meetings, prepare agendas, take notes/minutes and ensure follow through
  • Greets and directs employees, donors, visitors, volunteers, and board members as to appropriate parties within the agency and department. Maintains polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and in person.
  • Follow-up on contacts made by the CDO; support the cultivation of ongoing relationships
  • Track relationship developments in Raisers Edge Database (adding contacts, updating notes)
  • Answers phone, schedules appointments, maintains calendars including the annual Development Department calendar, gives information to callers, prepares communications and correspondences, performs functions of creating and maintaining filing system, scanning, and photocopying, reads and routes incoming mail, and performs other administrative and clerical duties.
  • Composes and prepares various routine and assigned correspondences such as thank you letters and cards, memos, etc. When appropriate, answers mail.
  • Assists with Board committee preparation, including scheduling meetings, correspondence with committee members, preparation for meetings, taking minutes at meetings, etc.
  • Assists with administrative duties including coordination of PR packets, directions to offsite meetings, printing daily calendar, collating projects, mailings, expense reports, office supplies, petty cash reconciliation, outgoing mail, and assistance with projects, meetings, etc.
  • Assist donors and volunteers with donations of in-kind items.
  • Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to confidential information, personnel, guests, donors, volunteers, and clients.
  • May perform other duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CREDENTIALS: Maintains Notary Certification as requested by agency.
