Basic Responsibilities
Performs a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the department and manager. Prepares and monitors the budget, prepares reports, interprets directives, reviews and answers correspondence. Acts as project lead on small projects.
Administrative Assistant positions are distinguished by the increased use of independent judgment in performing administrative/clerical functions for a department or division by reviewing routine work of staff for completeness and to ensure compliance with laws, rules, policies, procedures and standards; handles confidential materials, assists and/or leads projects or programs, and coordinates work within a department, between departments, and with the public and/or other governmental entities. May provide work direction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five (5) years of progressive administrative support experience administering, applying, and interpreting business related policies, procedures, and programs.
- Including two (2) years as an assistant to mid-management executive
