Administrative Associate II (Programs Secretary) - Anson County Job at North Carolina Adult Correction

North Carolina Adult Correction Polkton, NC

Reporting to the Correctional Associate Warden, this position completes basic office duties while working using unit policies and procedures, communicating information involving programs, functions, and services with a variety of staff members in the Programs Section at a multi-custody correctional facility. Other responsibilities of this position include. but are not limited to, the following:

  • Communicating frequently with the public through direct calls, taking messages, answering questions, using sound judgement, and discretion on how to handle information received, as it relates to the facility.
  • Working well with others and being able to handle daily contact with the general public via telephone or direct contact and be able to work with numerous interruptions.
  • Acting in a courteous and professional manner at all times both to the public and co-workers.
  • Preparing documents and reports, composing memos and letters, use of office technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits with established working hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm and may require working beyond normal work schedule to meet business need.

The salary grade for this position is NC02 (Salary Range: $31,200 - $46,734). State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase MAY result.
