The position is responsible for overseeing and managing staff and grants led by the Institute on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care as part of the School of Social Work and Buffalo Center for Social Research.

In this role you will:
  • provide supervision of all staff
  • manage Institute-related administrative functions (including payments and expenses)
  • provide high-level oversight of all project objectives, goals and benchmarks
  • assist the other directors in strategic planning and decision making around grant projects and personnel
  • develop and deliver trauma-informed leadership training curriculum, and the provision of trauma-informed consultation and coaching to leaders within the grant projects


The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills and have the ability to work both independently and with partners throughout NYS.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience as an administrator;
  • Experience in program development, operations, and coordination;
  • Experience as an administrative supervisor;
  • Experience in budget planning and oversight.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a director; experience in leadership coaching and consulting;
  • Experience in supervision of senior staff;
  • Experience in trauma-informed curriculum development;
  • Experience in strategic planning, personnel management and communications;
  • Experience with UB Business offices and systems.

$40,000 Actual Salary

Work Hours
15 – 20 hours per week
Weekends / Evening hours on Occasion
