JOB SUMMARY: The IT Asset Administrator is a key member of the IT team focused on ensuring the accuracy of enterprise IT hardware assets and the effective use of enterprise licensed software. The IT Asset Administrator is responsible for providing support to all aspects of IT asset management, inventory management, procurement, analysis, and reporting. This includes the planning, monitoring, recording, and tracking of assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, licenses, entitlements, and accounting policies and processes.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Procure all IT hardware and software required by the various departments and projects for Universal Creative using approved corporate methods. Receive and asset tag all purchased hardware as well as log all software. Maintains various databases containing information on Creative specific IT Software licensing, service level agreements, warranties and hardware.
  • Responsible for the inventory of over ten computer models, various software and accessories. Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory is available as needed for end-of-life capital and operating replacement hardware and future staffing.
  • Ensures proper tracking and inventory levels by conducting audits and quarterly physical inventories.
  • Assist with the deployment and disposal of computer related hardware and software.
  • Receives new software licensing requests and verifies compliance with industry and corporate legal department standards.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Service pace is very fast and varies from area to area, recognition of issues needs to be weighed against other competing issues. Hours of positions cover from early morning to late nights as well as some weekends. Other duties will apply as assigned. Travel opportunity maybe available for training, assisting partnering parks and/or growing support roles. Follow the Asset Management functions to ensure workflow procedures, licensing, inventory control, reporting and databases are in compliance. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information such as financial, personal data and future projects. Occasional evenings and weekend work will be needed as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent business/financial acumen.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Information Technology - particularly as they relate to asset and inventory management.
  • Possess solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with asset/inventory management system(s) and ticketing systems.
  • High degree of professionalism - ability to work within and across departmental lines with various levels of staff, management, and vendors.
  • Ability to move large objects up to 50 pounds with bending and mobility, required.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of experience with cost control, inventory, and asset management. Direct experience in a technology-based department or company preferred.
