GENERAL
The Residential Admission Specialist position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, environment helping pregnant individuals overcome substance abuse addiction. It is a multi-functioning team that works interdependently with the other departments in the organization. This rewarding profession ioffers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Self motivated
  • Availability to work some evening, overnight and/or weekend shifts
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule
  • Ability to enforce program requirements
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to complete and submit reports

DUTIES

  • Initial contact person for person served/client upon arrival for intake.
  • Creates an environment of hospitality for new persons served/clients.
  • Completes EMR intake documents with person served/client signature.
  • Schedules initial nursing assessment for person served/client.
  • Schedules initial counseling session for person served/client.
  • Helps with the handling of persons served/client belongings upon arrival.
  • Ensures persons served/client confidentiality in compliance with 42CFR, Part 2.
  • The Admissions Specialist is expected to protect the privacy of all persons served/client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.
  • The Admissions Specialist may access protected health information (PHI) and other persons served/client information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need to know specific persons served/client information to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other operations.
  • Maintain a respectful relationship with persons served/client.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
