Rockford Career College, the oldest career training college in Illinois and the 7th oldest in the United States is seeking to hire a professional, energetic, caring, compassionate and competitive admissions advisor that is excited and ready to help people change their lives. Superior listening skills are a must along with being coachable.

An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. 2+ years in higher education admissions in a similar-type career college or 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience highly desired selling intangible products.

You Wll:

• Meet/Contact prospective new students through various means including inbound and outbound phone calls, scheduled and unscheduled appointments, lead cards, web inquiries, admission applications, and internal and external events.
• There is heavy phone work required in the position. Usually 80 - 100 calls per day including texting and emailing.
• Meet with prospective students to help determine if they are good fit for Rockford Career College and if we are a good fit for them.
• You will become a program and college expert, and it will mean something for prospective students to enroll with you and at Rockford Career College.
• Continuous achievement of follow-up activity policies and communication plans for prospective students, and demonstrate an adaptive recruiting approach as appropriate for each student.
• Work with students to successfully complete the application process, including the receipt of all required documentation for admissions and financial. The admissions advisor owns the student from lead inquiry to start.
• Remain the point of contact for all new students from inquiry to start of classes, facilitating the transition to the advisor.
• Generate referrals and personally developed inquiries.
• Follow-up with students through the college enrollment cycle.
