POSITION GOALS
  • Assist the Director of Admissions with the management and operations of all strategic communications within the Admissions Office.
  • Support activities related to the Admissions process, student outreach, planning and executing admissions events, customer service delivery, and cross-campus communication.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assists in the operational management for all activities and events in the Admissions Office.
  • Works with Director to formulate and execute a strategic communications management plan for the Admissions Office, as well as daily follow up with any individual communications needs.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining electronic communications for Admissions including but not limited to texting, live chat, chatbot, call center, and communications management.
  • Assist Director with oversight of daily office processing – applications, transcripts, communications and serve as back up to these processes when necessary.
  • Assists Director with collection, reporting, and maintaining of accurate data.
  • Coordinates with the Recruitment Team to identify and implement strategic outreach opportunities focused on high school, adult learners, and students who have stopped out.
  • Assist applicants through the enrollment process and provides information through various technologies and modalities.
  • Provides training and resource to the Taft Hall Welcome Center as well as oversees and coordinates the Cougar Corps student ambassador program.
  • Works with the Director of Admissions to provide outreach to schools and communities regarding the admissions process.
  • Works with other departments and faculty to aid in student success and maintains current knowledge of college programs, resources and services.
  • Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Two to three years’ experience in Admissions or Recruitment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Demonstrated history of customer service delivery.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work as a part of a cross‑functional team in an innovative environment.
  • Working knowledge of electronic processing systems preferred; experience with desktop software applications, Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with the Ellucian Colleague student information system preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
Special Instructions for Applicants
Standard working hours are as follows: Academic Year: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Summer Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional nights and weekends required.
