Summary:
An Admissions Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth and orderly intakes to Recovering Hope’s residential and outpatient programs. In addition, an Admissions Coordinator is required to be cross trained as a Medical Technician.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contacts incoming clients to help them prepare for admission
  • Completes onsite pre-admission screening to determine if clients are appropriate for admission. This includes assessment of intoxication/withdrawal and general medical appropriateness
  • Assists in arranging services such as detox, emergency medical care, mental health crisis services when it is determined a client is not appropriate for admission
  • Reviews and completes admissions paperwork including informed consent, statute required documents, releases of information, DAANES, etc.
  • Orients clients to their insurance coverage which includes and is not limited to: deductibles, max out of pockets, coinsurances, copays, authorization processes, etc.
  • Ensures payment agreements are signed and uploaded into client charts
  • Supports clients in acclimating to the program, staff, and facility
  • Schedules and/or requests Mental Health Diagnostic Assessments

Cross Trained as a Medical Technician

  • Obtains vitals, breathalyzer, and urinalysis at time of intake
  • Supports the Medical Department when available by facilitating med pass, assisting with narcotic counts, administering urinalyses, etc.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of the broader team at Recovering Hope to ensure a high level of service to our clients, including assisting with general housekeeping, kitchen duties and light maintenance.
  • Works closely with members of the Admissions Department and Medical Department to provide coverage as needed
  • Frequently communicate with employees, managers, clients and other individuals with key relationships.
  • Follows up with clients after discharge to gather information for reporting and measures of success
  • Report on measures and statistics as a result of the post-discharge follow up process
  • Alert to fire and safety hazards
  • Maintains a visible presence at the facility
  • Helps provide supervision and redirection in interactions with clients
  • De-escalates problem behaviors with clients
  • Other duties and administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience working in a treatment clinic.
  • Know and understand the implications of chapter 245G, chapter 245A, and sections 626.556, 626.557 and 626.5572.
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred.
  • LADC and/or LPCC, LPC, LICSW, LP or equivalent license to practice by the State of Minnesota preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.50 per hour
