Job Summary
Hazard Community & Technical College invites applicants to apply for a part-time Adult Education Instructor position. This part-time position will be responsible for teaching reading, math, and writing skills to increase basic skills and prepare students for the GED exam. Instruction will be at the Lee County Adult Education Center and the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville, KY.
NOTE: Position funded with grant dollars.
Initial review of applications will begin on October 19, 2022.
Job Duties:
- Plan and provide basic skills Instruction in reading language arts (RLA) and mathematics
- Record keeping and documentation of student progress
- Administer and interpret placement and diagnostic assessments
- Provide classroom management and student support
- Maintain student records
- Participate in required professional development
- Maintain lesson plans and syllabi
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education or a content-related field and have earned a 12.9 score on the TABE 11/12.
**Applicants must be able to Score at a level 6 in Reading and Mathematics on the TABE A 11/12 assessment.
