The Adults Snowsports Supervisor is responsible for Safety, Guest Service and Staff oversight for daily operations in the BRC Snowsports operation. Effectively promotes and executes the delivery of exceptional guest service that will exceed our guest's expectations and enhance their winter sports experience in an atmosphere of safety, fun, and learning while providing a sound financial return to the company.This position also includes assigning and recording activities, checking daily labor, and assessing quality of work. Supervisors will work with other departments to ensure proper lesson, rental, and ticket sales, and operational organization. The supervisor is also required to have a general knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use, ensuring all staff work in a safe manner while on the clock. Supervisors must possess exemplary guest service skills, be able to provide instruction on proper equipment use and present accurate maintenance and repair recommendations. Additionally they assist managers in staff evaluations, on-boarding, instructor training, and separation procedures. Supervisors will provide valuable input in staff meetings and administer weekly safety meetings. They will make sure each staff member is in full uniform and upholding company standards while working.

Requirements:
Job Requirements
  • Assists in the creation and management of daily staff schedules according to staffing levels set forth by senior management
  • Distributes work amongst staff to achieve company goals in an efficient manner.
  • Assists in the completion of weekly payroll by maintaining proper documentation and effectively communicates any corrections to management
  • Be involved in Hiring and Terminating decisions, assist with on-boarding procedures
  • Review and uphold seasonal department manuals and standards
  • Departmental documentation management.
  • Administer employee safety training, maintain compliance documentation and file/share appropriately
  • Determine, monitor and communicate department operating supplies needs to manager.
  • The primary focus of the supervisor is to run daily operations and assist managers in departmental growth and development.
  • Supervisors, with managers, are responsible for daily assignments, safety and guest service huddles, snow removal, instructor training, and pertinent mountain operations information
  • Step into any sales position, technical role, or coaching role when there is a need or absence, including teaching lessons
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Some Microsoft Office programs
  • Exceptional operating system management a plus
  • RTP/Intouch or equivalent and Rental POS experience a plus
  • Flaik experience a plus
  • Certified technician for Marker ski bindings a plus
  • This position may require off site travel including but not limited to all Boreal Ridge Corporation locations
  • This position requires indoor and outdoor work
  • Must have the ability to use touch-typing skills and have the ability to lift up to a 50-lb. box and carry 50 yards
  • Must be able to visually review written documents and observe coworkers on a regular basis
  • Intermediate Skiing and/or snowboarding skills
  • High level of interpersonal relationship skills, administrative skills
  • High School or Equivalent preferred
  • PSIA/AASI certification
