Would you like to share your passion for sports with others? As the Adult Sports Coordinator, you will provide supervision, leadership, and motivation for participants in Adult Sports Programs. In this role, you will monitor the facility to ensure a safe, positive, and fun environment. You will provide instruction on equipment use and organize activities as needed.

If hired for this position, you will use your skill set to:

• Monitor facility and ensure a safe, positive and fun environment. Confidently and tactfully enforce YMCA policies.
• Organize sport activities as needed. Assist other staff as necessary.
• Provide instruction for correct and proper use of activity equipment when needed. Teach and demonstrate in a positive manner.
• Possess the knowledge and skills needed to instruct in program activities.
• Facilitate organization of teams, including registration, fees and enforcing best practices.
• Possess the knowledge and skills needed to officiate games.
• Facilitate communication with teams to go over ground rules, and to encourage both teams to play a fair game. Incorporate the YMCA values and mission statement.
• Start games on schedule and keep games moving efficiently.
• Enforce the rules in an impartial and consistent manner.

• Able to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required.

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
