Position Title: Advanced Technology-Sr. Support Technician
Reports To: Manager Advance Technology
Schedule: Monday through Friday business hours and additional as required (may have to work weekends or after)
Location: Remote US West Coast Based in Washington/Oregon. Work Environment will be mix of office and industrial environments.
Required Qualifications: Network+, Cisco, Meraki, Exposure to Virtualization
Education: Associates Degree Associates Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology
Experience: One to five years of computer operations and networking experience
Languages: English
Skills/Software: Microsoft 365/Azure, Dynamics. Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Information Technology, Active Directory, Mobile Devices operating systems: Apple IOS and Android
Traits:
  • Hardware and software setup and installation which includes personal computers, printers, peripheral equipment, phones, Microsoft Office suite, and various desktop applications.
  • Prioritize and schedule customer support response.
  • Triage and assign service portal requests.
  • Facilitate resolution of service requests via service portal, e-mail and phone.
  • Hardware and software maintenance which includes patch management and firmware updates.
  • Review system management consoles
  • Reset system passwords as needed/requested.
  • Travel to vessels to perform onsite vessel health check visits.
  • All other duties as assigned and any activities that support the key accountabilities.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • One to five years of computer operations and networking experience
  • Associates Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology
  • Understanding of Microsoft Server Operating Systems & Active Directory
  • Experience with mobile device operating systems including Apple IOS and Android.
  • Basic familiarity of Microsoft 365/Azure.
  • Basic familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper V, Nutanix)
  • Basic familiarity with Meraki Switching, Wireless
  • Basic familiarity with Palo Alto Firewall
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects with conflicting priorities.
  • Self-motivated, independent judgment, thoroughness, accuracy, and organizational skills required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills: ability to deal with people in sometimes stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking
Physical Requirements:
  • Work involves lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Work involves a high degree of flexibility regarding work hours; may have to work weekends or after-hours to install upgrades, fix problems, etc.
  • Work involves travel up to 60% to conduct vessel visits, attend trainings and meetings mostly on the West Coast.
Salary range: $110K to $130K
