Advocate for Victims of Domestic Violence Job at Family Life Center
The advocate is responsible for supporting victims of domestic violence through the provision of quality services including advocacy with the child welfare system and other related entities to increase the safety of child and adult victims and to reduce the number of out-of-home child placements due to domestic violence. This includes facilitating educational seminars for child welfare providers, engaging in multidisciplinary team meetings, and helping victims use their voice within the child welfare system. The Child-Welfare Domestic Violence Advocate will collaborate with other Family Life Center advocates to provide victim support groups, safety planning and referrals.
