After School Program Chaperone Job at Catapult Learning
Work with students 3 days a week and make a difference! The University of Maryland Baltimore and Catapult Learning are partnering for a literacy support program in West Baltimore. This posting will support the hiring of a position to be employed by the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
A Tutoring Chaperone will have the following responsibilities:
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from early February to mid-May for the Spring Tutoring Session. From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM each day.
Job functions include:
- Assisting with room set up
- Riding the bus with the children
- Escorting students to the location for tutoring
- During the tutoring sessions, being there to assist with distribution of snacks, helping the students get in and out of the bathrooms , and sitting at a table with those whose guardians may be late for pick-up.
- Entering the names of the attending students into database
- Helping with room clean up from 5:30 - 6:00
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must understand that all children can learn. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards internal and external customers. Must be flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Must be available to work during the summer months.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
