SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The aircraft cleaner is responsible for serving the needs of the individual airline and the associated servicing requirements of the aircraft in accordance with individual airline and Trego/Dugan Aviation’s policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Thorough cleaning of aircraft interiors, including turn and overnight aircraft as directed by company and/or client specifications and procedures to include but not limited to the following: vacuum, dust, clean bathrooms, clean galley, fold blankets, change pillowcases, add supplies, clean out garbage, position seatbelts, clean tray tables, clean windows, upholstery exchange and rug exchange.
  • Perform Aircraft security Search per regulatory and client procedure.
  • Must be familiar with all FAA/ TSA/Airline/Company regulations.
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.
  • Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff and public in a courteous manner.
  • Must be attired in proper uniform and identification badges must always be visible.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives.
  • Utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Service aircraft lavatories and lav carts.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Airport environment: Indoors and Outdoors. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Stand, bend, and/or stoop for different periods of time
Be able to lift 50 pounds
Walk up/down different types of stairs at various angles
Learn the various types of aircraft in the airline’s fleet and their individual cleaning requirements
Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, under tight time constraints
Able to handle multiple tasks and seek assistance from fellow team members
Interact directly with customers, airline personnel, and fellow team members to resolve problems and/or issues that may arise

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience in the cleaning of aircraft and/or industrial facilities is preferred.
  • Experience with the use of manual and power cleaning equipment.
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task.
  • Creative and innovative to improve delivery of service excellence.
  • Superior problem-solving, conflict management and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrate communication, leadership, and analytical skills; ability to develop effective. relationships at all levels.
  • Pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 10-year background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Pass a Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security assessment.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
