General Summary:

This position performs complex assembly and fitting of detailed parts. Aircraft installation at high-level productivity rate within various manufacturing processes (i.e. sealant, fasteners, electric harnessing, and hydraulics). Preforms FTP’s, RTS’s and operational checks on production aircraft.

Typical Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build and/or install electrical wiring, harnesses, and components accurately per all engineering drawing and blue print requirements

• Complete wire terminations, connector pinning, continuity checks, and wiring repair per all applicable drawings, blue prints, and engineering dispositions

• Troubleshoots; diagnoses, adjusts, replace, or repairs defective wiring and components based on analysis of test results, following blue prints, schematics, handbooks, wiring diagrams and other technical documents

• Performs routine build and functional tasks within assigned production area/position to assist in completion of aircraft

• Operates required tooling, machinery, and equipment in a proficient manner following established safety rules.

• Follows all company policies and procedures

• Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Degree, Certification and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 12 years of aviation experience in aircraft wiring, repair or wiring modification required

• A&P and/or other related license highly desired and may be required in certain positions.

Required Skill and Knowledge:

• Strong communication and computer skills

• Knowledge of Teamcenter and SAP an added benefit

• Be able to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

• Advanced knowledge of the aircraft avionics systems or components functions.

• Works with minimal supervision.

• Must have good prioritizing skills and strong team skills

• Excellent knowledge of all aviation related hand tools including wire strippers, wire crimpers, and multimeter functions

• Familiarity of basic function of all aircraft systems

• Flexibility to various schedules and overtime

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.

• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift, and routinely climb stairs / ladders.

• Ability to work for extended periods in a tight space and/or awkward position.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
