Job Function:

The Station Supervisor is responsible for the safety, security, customer satisfaction, aircraft handling and crew processes in their station for AF and KLM. She/he will keep track of the quality levels and the targets agreed upon. She/he coordinates activities on his station as agreed by the Station Management. The Station Supervisor will handle all station responsibilities in the framework of “Flight Manager”.

In line with company policy and procedures the supervisor manages the team of agents (Air France staff or third parties), perform administrative activities as needed that support the actual handling of flights, where applicable, third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize handling processes

Steers and supervises all handling activities (in case of self-handling) or coordinates with the agent (in case of outsourcing) to ensure a timely, safe and efficient flight handling process

  • Deliver excellent passenger service

Responsible for all services related to passenger handling activities incl. catering according to the company standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction. In line with company guidelines ensures compliance with “service standards” and guarantees customer satisfaction is exceeded through coaching of the staff, developing their skills and performing periodic performance appraisals.

  • Support flight and ground operations processes

Perform all supporting activities to ensure an efficient handling of flights and, where applicable, third parties. The position is responsible for the day to day supervision of the Ramp/Operations activities, with the leadership objective to maintain a well-trained and professional team within the scope of Aircraft Turnaround, Aircraft Loading, Crew Activities, Flight Operations, and OPS1 Quality Assurance. To supervise and delegate duties to the team and monitor safety and security compliance.

  • Special Services

To deliver dedicated services to specific high-valued customers such as La Premiere, VIPs, official personalities and official flights. His main purpose is to deliver a personalized service that corresponds to the image of the company. Ensures continuous development of the lounge services provided to our customers by a dedicated staff.

  • Catering Activities

In line with company guidelines and procedures, ensures the catering product provided to customers and crew are of highest standards for quality, and ensures compliance with corporate specifications, monitors and reports the cost efficiency for catering operations.

  • Other responsibilities

Responsible for the calculation and creation of the station schedule

Ensure that all monies collected are correctly reported and that any discrepancies are investigated

Ensure that all federal and local security measures are adhered to (T.S.A., C.B.P., Police)

Perform administrative activities that support the actual handling of flights and, where applicable, third parties

Requirements:

  • Supervisory experience managing a team and displaying leadership qualities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional composure in all circumstances
  • Thorough knowledge of the passenger handling process, aircraft handling process incl. cargo & technical process
  • Knowledge of airport infrastructure
