8am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday

Requirements
- Valid Michigan Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
- Previous occupational medicine experience preferred but not required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)
Responsibilities
- Create a comfortable environment for patients, practicing a non-judgmental, compassionate attitude
- Perform pre-employment physicals, treat work-related injuries and illnesses, and promote good health and disease prevention
- Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
- Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy
- Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays
- Prescribe medication
- Educate patients about prevention and self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances
- Monitor patients’ conditions and maintain accurate, detailed and confidential reports and records
