Appliance Technician & Installer | ** Must Live in, or currently reside in, Oahu Island, Hawaii **

The Appliance Installer/Estimator (EAI) is responsible for all quote production and scheduling in the Appliance Installation Department. EAIs attend site visits and provide labor and material estimates for all quoted work. The EAI is also responsible for maintaining the schedule and assigning the proper labor to all projects. The EAI works with other installers and administration to make sure all work is properly staffed, and all materials and equipment are provided for the proper execution of the work. EAIs are trade professionals that can also perform most, or all the work being estimated. When not on site for estimating or producing quotes, EPMs participate in the execution of appliance installations. Is proficient with technology and can navigate computer-based quoting and work management software.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The primary roles of the EAI fall into three categories: providing quotes following site visits to estimate work, scheduling all field personnel to the approved jobs, and assisting in the installation of appliances. The EAI is capable of inspecting interior home spaces for removal and replacement of major appliances to include range hoods, cook-tops, single and double wall ovens, over-the-range microwaves, microwaves, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators and other miscellaneous appliances. The EAI can make minor modifications to cabinets, flooring, tile, millwork, plumbing, and electrical to accommodate the installation of new appliances. The EAI must be able to work on their own, problem solve for unforeseen issues, and work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensures that all quotes for the department are generated within 48 hours.
• Ensures all material is properly specified.
• Executes appliance installations.
• Maintains control over the work schedule.
• Certifies that all materials and equipment are on site when they are needed.
• Able to read and navigate through construction drawings, details and specifications.
• Maintains a neat and professional appearance and communicates with the customers in a professional manner with a positive attitude.
• Communicates any issues to supervisor.
• Attend all weekly departmental meetings for both office and field staff.

Qualifications

• A complete understanding of all types of construction means & methods to facilitate accurate estimating and job costing.
• Skills and Education
• 5+ years of related construction experience managing projects.
• Well versed in residential appliance installation.
• Trade knowledge required.

Responsible for the daily task management of quote production, technician scheduling, material and equipment ordering, appliance installation, and invoicing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
