Job Description:

As the supporting resource, this candidate will work with senior team members to develop the industrial-leading engineering applications which involve user interface design, engineering knowledge integration, 3D visualization in Siemens, Teamcenter, VisView, and database operation. He/she has to be familiar with the Company's systems, understand the business problem, and build a robust application to meet the Company's user’s need (2,000+ internal users). Your work could relieve engineers from many manual, time-consuming work, could bring many easy buttons and make people’s life joyful, could make a lot of ‘Job Impossible’ possible. This position is available immediately and allows remote work in US.

Job responsibility:

• Interact with the Company's users, mostly engineers, to understand their need
• Define the method (GUI, logic, data source, coloring schema) to solve the problem
• Build the function within the current platform and test, deploy to the production system using Python
• Troubleshoot bug reports or evaluate improvement ideas collected
• Keep improving the application in terms of the user interface, database optimization, performance, result accuracy
• Market and advertise your proud work

Required Qualifications:

• Must hold at least bachelor’s degree in Engineering major and GPA is above 3.0 out of 4.0
• Proficiency with Python and SQL
• At least 2 year experience in software development with bachelor’s degree or 1 year experience with Master’s degree
• Ability to create high-quality code leveraging concepts like OOP design, functional and dynamic programming
• Data analytics experience using at least one of the following: Python (numpy, pandas), R, MATLAB, Tableau, Power BI
• Excellent communication skills to understand and articulate business problems to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Location in continental United States

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in PLM tool suite such as Siemens Teamcenter
• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as PTC Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
• Familiarity with ERP data systems
• Experience using Snowflake for data warehousing
• Experience development desktop applications using GUI libraries such as wX, Tkinter, etc.
