We are looking for an Application Specialist to provide Tier II support by troubleshooting and resolving customer problems. The Application Specialist is responsible for supporting our in-house software, ensuring that our customers have an optimal user experience. This position offers a professional environment with the opportunity to develop creative solutions to technical problems.
You will:
Troubleshoot an ever changing variety of complex issues that require out of the box thinking
Provide excellent end-user desktop / phone / email support to resolve support tickets
Communicate with our customers to build and maintain relationships
Create technical documentation for training and / or issue resolution
Collaborate with all tiers of support, QA, and development to resolve product issues
Work with databases and servers
Occasionally travel to client sites, potentially including overnight stays
You should have:
A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and with a team
Some working knowledge in a computing-related field
We would also love it if you had:
A degree or some higher education
Experience in a help desk position
Knowledge of command line utilities and SQL
