Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Applications Analyst is to provide staff with the highest level of analysis and support for any software in use at Kennedy Community Health. This role will provide functional backup for our EHR Administrator: including performing basic training of IT, EMR, EDR or EPM workflow. This position will understand the workflow and process requirements of our team members related to the various applications to determine how to optimize the existing workflows with the tools in our software portfolio. The position will also include other duties as directed by the Director of Information Technology. Works in a team atmosphere contributing to the support of any of the suite of IT Applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and support any IT supported applications technical issues.
  • Responsible for applications upgrades, testing, and user administration.
  • Provide coordination and support in the management of any software application related projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation, training materials, policy and procedures, workflow documentation and any miscellaneous information regarding all supported software.
  • Collaborate with all software vendors to support maximum uptime for the EMR and its ancillary systems.
  • Provide support with software maintenance, administration, configuration, and updates.
  • Perform any duties or tasks as directed by the Director of Information Technology.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of EMR support experience, NextGen experience a plus
  • 3 years of I.T. application support experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, work ethic, problem solving ability, effective communication skills, and overall positive attitude.
  • Must possess strong business and technical writing abilities.
  • Ability to achieve NextGen EPM, or EMR Certification in 6 months.
  • All health center employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID19 and the Flu.
