Purpose of the Position:

Develops conceptual designs for clients for multi-family and commercial building. Produces artwork and develops designs.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with developing artwork from others schematic designs for client presentations.
• Develops own schematic design after consulting with clients.
• Designs specific product for client accomplished by listening to and interpreting client comments and concerns.
• Facilitates communication with client through meetings, phone calls, mailings and emails, and documents to maintain client confidence.
• Oversees vendors and reviews architectural and AutoCAD drawings to make sure that all specifications and client expectations are being followed.
• Manages projects by following through with the design development.
• Develops and analyzes conceptual by hand or CAD drafting, for client bid sets (preliminary pricing).
• Supervises and works with other staff to facilitate design development process.
• Performs code searches.
• Visits sites to conduct design review.
• Prepare addendums and change orders. Initiate additional service requests and turn over to Project Manager for submittal to client.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in the use of computer for design and understand CAD operations
• Strong hand drawn graphic skills
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to visualize structures and understand industry standards
• Must be proficient in Sketch Up, Photoshop, & Lumion

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Three to seven years experience in multi-family design, design development and project management.
• Additional experience may take the place of some education requirements.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
