Asbury Inn Part Time Housekeeper Job at Asbury Theological Seminary
Position Summary:
Maintains facilities in a sanitary, hospitable, and orderly condition. The Inn is typically at its busiest Friday through Monday. Must be able to work at least two weekends (or four weekend days) per month.
Hours: 20 per week
Essential Functions:
- Clean, disinfect, vacuum, sweep/mop, and trash collection in offices and restroom of front desk area.
- Clean, disinfect, stock supplies, collect trash, and clean floors in two lobbies, two public restrooms, public laundry facility/fitness room, hallways, housekeeping areas, stairwells, etc.
- Clean and disinfect guestrooms (remove trash and used linen, make beds, vacuum bedroom floor, clean and disinfect bedroom/bathroom, mop bathroom floor, supply bathroom linen and amenities, etc.).
- Perform spring cleaning of rooms: clean under furniture, turn mattresses, clean a/c filters, defrost refrigerators, clean walls, etc.
- Sort, wash, fold, and store laundry. Transport William House linen to and from Inn.
- Break down all cardboard materials for recycling and removal from building.
- Communicate with guest services staff and provide room status information.
- Communicate with Executive Housekeeper and provide status updates.
- Fill out and interpret housekeeping reports.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess basic knowledge of custodial skills and procedures
- Possess ability to prioritize job duties
- Possess good organizational skills
- Ability to perform light to heavy lifting on a daily basis
- Must be able to work beyond scheduled shift on an emergency basis
