Blythe Brothers Asphalt is currently looking to fill multiple roles:

• Asphalt roller operators
• Asphalt screed operators
• Asphalt lute men
• Service truck drivers
• Tack truck drivers with class A or B CDL
• Experienced asphalt plant help
• Detach lowboy drivers

A General Laborer performs tasks involving strenuous physical labor on highway and heavy construction projects. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble, debris and remove waste materials. The Laborer must maintain a clean and secure job site (pick up tools/equipment) to eliminate potential hazards; must ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bring any problems to the attention of a Supervisor.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible of operating heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. Heavy equipment may include but is not limited to front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures. Equipment Operators must also ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bring any problems to the attention of the Supervisor.

A Service Truck Driver performs tasks involving strenuous physical labor on highway and heavy construction projects and equipment. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May service and prepare equipment, clean up rubble, debris and remove waste materials. The Service Truck Driver must maintain a clean and secure job site (pick up tools/equipment) to eliminate potential hazards; must ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bring any problems to the attention of a Supervisor.

Requirements

• Regularly works near moving machinery/tools which requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, must be able to move quickly and have excellent stamina.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects (over 50 lbs.), use legs, hips, shoulders, abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and climb a ladder

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
