Job Title: Asphalt & Emulsion Lab Technologist

Job Overview:
This position will be responsible for performing and managing the testing of liquid asphalt and emulsion within S&S Terminal Quality Control Division. The individual will be involved with product research and development along with customer relations to improve products and operations. The individual will have opportunity for growth within the company while gaining knowledge in asphalt manufacturing and heavy highway construction.
Duties:
· Laboratory testing and certifications
· Coordinate and assist quality control with hot mix plants and paving divisions
· Maintain and submit quality control records to state departments
· General maintenance and upkeep of lab equipment and facility
· Research and develop new products, applications, and formulations
· Assist in Customer Relations and Sales
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma, required
· Associates degree, preferred
· Any higher level of education, a plus
Skills/Abilities:
· Effective communication, organizational, documentation, and observation skills
· Ability to work well within a team
· Safe working practices in industrial and all environments
· Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Positive attitude
· Mathematical and Analytical Skills
· Indoor and outdoor laboratory and construction working conditions
Pay based on experience. Opportunity for advancement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
