Overview:
$1500 SIGN ON BONUS
PURPOSE:
The duties of Asphalt Plant Operator include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Fully trained in the operations and capability of a running an Asphalt plant ideally.
  • Ability to run mixing operations on the plant in order to ensure material quality and compliance with specifications
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach include scaling, ticketing and assist in asphalt orders
  • Required to understand general knowledge intermediate computer skills
  • Communicates and promotes safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with Company standards
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers by addressing issues, questions or concerns in a timely manner
  • Monitors operational effectiveness through analysis of Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure consistent production to meet daily orders
  • May require considerable physical activity, must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting
  • Responsible for completing daily checklist, journal and reports
  • Offloading hot asphalt oil
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Continuously communicating with plant operators, truckers, quality control and dispatch
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Creates an atmosphere of teamwork
  • Seek out and implement Best Practices

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

REQUIRED
: Minimum of 5 years of Asphalt operations/production-related experience.
REQUIRED: Heavy machinery / Equipment experience
REQUIRED: Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office applications.
PREFERRED: HIGH SCHOOL\GED

Environment
  • All spills must be first contained and the proper authorities notified immediately thereafter (follow written procedure)
  • Monitor by daily completion of Plant check-list
Safety
  • Contribute toward the overall success of the safety program by following set rules procedures and practices
  • Identify and report workplace hazards and make positive suggestions for their elimination or control
  • Generally, perform duties in the safest manner prescribed
  • Required PPE must be worn at all times
Other:
This position will require weekend work and may include night shifts. The position often requires overtime and working in all types of climate
