Your role as an Assembler positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. You manage the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor.

What you'll be doing

Responsible for the assembly, and test, of Hillrom cardiology products per the written procedure and quality systems requirements

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform bench assembly, testing and packing on sub or finished unit assemblies according to assembly procedures (i.e. BOM, DHR, Work Instructions, etc.).
• Ensure use of most up to date procedures by using ERP system (SAP).
• Perform basic troubleshooting on assemblies which does not require a technician.
• Complete all appropriate forms and DHRs legibly and correctly for the assemblies they are working on following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Cross train into multiple positions/products as directed by production supervisor
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor
• Adhere to the Quality System.
• Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in their work.
• Apply continuous improvement thinking by suggesting improvements for their work areas and job functions to reduce costs and lead time.
• Follow standard work (manufacturing procedures) as written.

What you'll bring

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Requirements for this position include 0-1 years manufacturing assembly experience
• Prior experience in a medical device company a plus
• 0-1 years’ experience working with SAP

Skills and abilities:

• Fluent in English (both written and oral)
• Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Bill of Materials
• Basic computer skills

Physical demands and work environment:

• Physical Demands: Up to 30 lbs. lifting
• Ability to sit and/or stand throughout the workday.
