Job Description for Assembler
JOB SUMMARY:
Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, fastening, and installing parts to form subassemblies. Will align, fit, assemble, fasten, connect, and install system components of mechanical/electro-mechanical products. Must be punctual and have reliable transportation. Previous assembly experience is a plus but not required as we will teach you how to do your positions as long as you have the mechanical attitude for it.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a variety of tasks in production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures following blueprint, illustration, and operation specification requirements
- Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- Align and fit sub and structural assemblies by installing and connecting parts, fittings, and assemblies
- Cut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and fitting tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance
- Use basic hand tools, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers
- Perform other related duties as may be required
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous assembly experience is a plus but not required as we will teach you how to do your positions as long as you have the mechanical attitude for it.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, or lifting
- Occasionally required to bend, stoop, or kneel
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, occasionally assist others to lift and/or move up to 50 to 70 pounds
