Headquartered and actively producing hardware products in Monroe, North Carolina since 1957, ASSA ABLOY Door Controls products offer traditional surface, industrial, economy, overhead and floor concealed, security, commercial, architectural, electromechanical and electrified door closers and controls. In this role, you will be working inside a thriving and growing manufacturing facility that designs, tests, produces, and ships Door Closers, Door Controls, and Electromechanical Door Controls used in Hospitals, Schools, Churches, Sports Arenas, Hotels, and large Institutional buildings. Our facility is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with many possibilities to make a difference and add value to the business. What you will be doing?

NOTE: All job openings are first posted within the facility to allow current employees to bid on new opportunities and to move to different shifts.


You will:

  • Perform work following detailed assembly procedures involving Electronic Operators with defined hand movements outlined by prescribed industrial engineering methods.
  • Using work instructions, meet all production and quality standards.
  • Complete simple sub-assemblies.
  • Use machines such as pneumatic cylinders, pulse guns, pneumatic screw drivers and hand tools.
  • Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain 5S standards in assigned area.
  • Follow all ISO procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required by the supervisor.

What we are looking for?

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have 2 years of experience assembling industrial components following detailed procedures while meeting production and quality standards
  • Must be a team player in the cell group.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be quality conscious and have a commitment to details.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40lbs

Also, we believe the ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and is used to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meeting high production and quality standards. You take great pride in your work and set high expectations for yourself and others. You always meet or exceed requested production standards. You always produce quality products. You are always at work as expected and are never late. You have a very high sense of urgency and truly embrace lean manufacturing, 5S, On Time Delivery, and are Customer focused.
