Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Complete medical record requests and make sure HIPAA compliance is maintained.

2. Assist Compliance Director in performing random audits of job duties on all staff.

3. Assist Compliance Director in performing random audits of medical records, time sheets, sign in/out sheets, travel vouchers, etc.

4. Assist Compliance Director in performing random audits of agency property i.e. cash/checks, food stamps, buildings, vehicles, equipment inventory, etc.

5. Provide thorough and timely audits summaries to staff and supervisors.

6. Train administrative staff on Health and Safety protocols listed in the DMH Operational standards and audit each location "Red Book" quarterly to make sure standards are being upheld.

7. Manage agency Disaster, Fire, and COOP Drills

8. Assist Compliance Director in monitoring for maintenance of agency policy and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards Assist Compliance Director in monitoring for compliance of all programs and staff in accordance with agency policy and procedures.

Other related duties as necessary and appropriate as assigned by Compliance Director.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in mental health services or a related field

2. One year of relevant job-related experience and experience writing clinical documentation

3. Data entry skills, such as working knowledge of computer and basic report writing programs i.e., Office, Word, and Excel (or experience with similar programs)

4. Experience working in Electronic Health Records

5. Willingness to acquire knowledge of applicable administration and program evaluation procedures.

6. Willingness to acquire knowledge of: a. Principles, practices, techniques, and facilities involved in the evaluation and treatment of persons with mental disabilities (MH/IDD/SU)

b. Regulatory or certification requirements for community mental health centers, including state licensure, Medicaid and regulations of other applicable regulatory entities.

c. Community mental health center management practices

d. Medical records system administration

e. Service utilization management

2. Ability to:

a. Consistently assess and evaluate serviced provision and medical records against agency policies and procedures.

b. Work independently and manage diversified tasks.

c. Utilize effective written and verbal communication skills.

d. Maintain effective working relationships with management and service providers.

e. Compile evaluative information and prepare related reports.

3. Valid driver’s license and good driving record

4. Access to reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.10 per hour
